Brown leather work boots, made in the USA. - Brand: Irish Setter - Color: Brown - Material: Leather - Style: Work Boots - Country of Manufacture: USA Red Wing Irish Setter 6-inch boots, Model #875 Purchased over 30 years ago at Red Wing in Nishi-Azabu. I don't remember the purchase price at the time, but it was a fairly substantial amount for a young person... (They still cost a fair amount today, don't they?) The color is a light brown model, not reddish-brown. As expected of work boots, there is leather soiling and wear/soiling on the soles. There is no deterioration or peeling due to leather degradation or scuffing. Basically, the soiling is black. The shoelaces were replaced with new ones from the same company 3 years ago, but they have been worn a few times (in fine weather) since then, so there is some soiling. The leather quality around the ankles remains soft. The toe area remains hard and sturdy, as is typical of work boots. The insole is still original, and there is no peeling inside. The eyelets for the shoelaces are bronze, and there is the standard blue rust on the edges of the eyelets, but if you use a product like Piccard or a special polishing cloth, you should be able to remove it and restore the shine. Due to aging, heavy shoes have become difficult for me, so I am selling them. As you can see in the photos, there is aging, but they are perfect for workwear fashion or for someone who wants to use them hard from the start. Or, you could use a new pair of Setters for a clean look and these for everyday wear... I do not have athlete's foot or any foot fungus, so please rest assured.
