[Good Points] ✩ We believe that a cutting board is best [unpainted], so we have finished the surface with a hand plane to achieve this. The chamfered parts are also finished using well-sharpened blades. First, the wood is planed, then wetted with water once to raise the grain, and then planed again after drying, so I think the grain raising due to water when using it is minimized. Also, the end grain, which is usually difficult to plane, is also finished with a plane. This allows water to drain in the shortest amount of time without the grain raising or scratches from sandpaper absorbing water, minimizing the deterioration of the wood due to water absorption. ✩ We predict the direction in which the wood will warp and consider the blade contact, and we have slightly and gently rounded the shape to match the characteristics of the wood.
