I purchased this item used and have been using it for home practice for about six months. I have not stepped on it with shoes since I acquired it. I believe this is a great piece of equipment for learning the basics of twin pedals with straightforward action. While there are some dirt and minor scratches, the operation is smooth, and it's still in good condition for use.
