TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES Engage in close combat, pilot vehicles, and confront other Terminators as you save the world in this action-packed adventure. Review: This GBA title features a tiny version of Arnie, blasting countless enemies to save John Connor. For a man who decried violence, he certainly found himself in one action-packed game. You tend to forget the blurry graphics and simple combat because your objectives are constantly changing. It's not as shocking as his California victory, but it's not Jingle All the Way either. Once again, a substandard licensed video game has been released on all major systems, and once again, the GBA version turns out to be the best. Atari's Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines for the GBA plays as a third-person shooter from an isometric perspective. Playing as the T-101, you basically run and gun throughout the game. What's funny is that a punch from good ol' Ah-nold can actually do more damage than some of his guns. Not to mention, the guns you use are either under or overpowered. Lining up your targets is difficult if you don't use guns with a wide firing range, thanks to the isometric perspective. The single-player mode is completely too easy, but the multiplayer mode (where you can play Capture the Flag) is a great addition, but doesn't add much to the overall package. The controls are somewhat simple to learn, but the graphics are a little below the usual GBA standards. Overall, if a little more time and effort had been spent, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines for the GBA would have been worth picking up for Terminator fans, but this is one to leave on the shelf. #ArnoldSchwarzenegger #MuscleMan
