For sale is a Sonnetar 50mm/f1.1, a rare lens from Miyazaki Kogaku that made their name famous. Production numbers were low, and it rarely appears on the market. I purchased it from Map Camera about 10 years ago, but I've only used it a few times. There are no noticeable scratches, but the knob that should be on the focus ring is missing. Focusing is still possible by holding the ring, but please see the photos. Due to Miyazaki Kogaku's unique (or perhaps, custom) lens design, grease may be visible on the screw threads when focusing. I don't believe there's any dust, but if you're concerned, I recommend an overhaul, cleaning, and repainting. [For reference, a "Good" condition lens at Map Camera is priced at 290,800 yen] When wide open, it produces a beautiful, old-lens-like bloom, but the image itself doesn't fall apart. It's a one-of-a-kind lens. The only drawback is the beautiful flare and ghosting that appear with strong light sources, similar to old lenses. The items included are the lens body, box, a non-genuine protective filter, a rear lens cap, and a lens hood. I believe the price of this lens will continue to rise in the future, but I'm selling it to declutter, as I've been using Leica lenses more frequently. Please understand that the condition is based on my personal assessment, and this is a used item that has been in someone's hands before. By the way, I don't have any pets, and I'm a non-smoker.
