Handmade folk craft tsumugi (pongee) made of natural fabric, fully lined. No certification tag, origin and maker unknown. The fabric has a fine weave, and although the yarn appears to be a single color, it seems to create a checkered pattern through variations in the weave density. Twisted and untwisted yarns are woven alternately. The twisted yarn does not have a uniform twist, and appears to be hand-twisted. This is a kimono for the discerning eye. The basting threads are still attached.
