This is a set of 20 prints of photographs taken by the seller at Sigiriya Rock in Sri Lanka using a single-lens reflex camera, printed on thick, glossy 2L-sized paper with a Canon 6-color printer. Sri Lanka, an island nation in the Indian Ocean, was formerly known as Ceylon during the British colonial era, and the island itself is called Ceylon Island. Climbing to the summit of Sigiriya Rock, which is 370m above sea level, reveals the ruins of a royal palace built in the 5th century. To reach it, one must ascend a path built into the mountainside. This is not a place for those with a fear of heights. The entire Sigiriya site is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name "Ancient City of Sigiriya." Midway up the mountainside are the frescoes of the "Sigiriya Ladies." Photography of these murals is currently prohibited, but the photos offered here were taken a few months before the ban, making them very valuable shots.
