WAIPER.inc has produced the RAF COLD WEATHER PARKA, famous among collectors as the ultimate winter coat in the British Royal Air Force (RAF). Issued in the 1950s as an excellent cold-weather coat for ground crew, its construction, which disregarded cost, is said to have resulted in very limited production. That's because the outer fabric is Ventile cotton, a high-density water-repellent material widely used by the British military. The lining is wool padding. The collar uses a single piece of sheepskin mouton with a good feel. Furthermore, the hood is trimmed with real fur, and the uncompromising construction in every aspect is truly ultimate. The colors reproduce the two colors that actually existed: olive and gray. It is said that they were used differently depending on the unit, but due to their high functionality, they were also worn by the RAF Mountain Rescue Service, also known as the Mountain Rescue Parka. WAIPER.inc completely reproduces those details. Regarding the accessories and details, the wooden hood toggle buttons and buckles were also made from scratch. We analyzed and reproduced the inefficient sewing specifications of the time from actual archives.
