◇ About the Makers ◇ We sell handmade shinobue flutes crafted by a father and daughter team in Shimane Prefecture. The father has been a shinobue instructor for about 25 years and is also a flute maker. We harvest female bamboo (shinodake) growing in the Shizumagawa River (formerly known as the Ginzangawa River), dry it for over 3 years, and then use it to make shinobue and kagura flutes. ◇ Shipping Method ◇ We will ship via Yu-Pack (Yu-Yu Mercari Bin) within 1-2 days of purchase. If you need it urgently, please leave a comment. ◇ Tuning ◇ Tuned to the Western musical scale of 440Hz using a tuner, with the high register (second octave) in tune, allowing for ensemble playing and performance with other instruments. Tuned to allow for the low register (first octave), high register (second octave), and even the third octave, depending on breath strength.
