This is a cloud to be displayed on a kamidana (Shinto altar). Recently, they are made from various materials such as stickers, felt, wooden boards, acrylic boards, and Japanese paper. It seems there are no strict rules about the material, as the purpose is to represent that there is nothing above the deity. I created this one from acrylic mirror for a stylish look. The back is adhesive. The characters are engraved from the back with a laser cutter, so the front is flat. There are no bumps on the front, making it easy to wipe clean. Unlike paper or wood, you don't need to replace it when it gets dirty; just wipe it clean. The size is approximately 80mm x 70mm.
