You can enjoy it while also learning Japanese history thoroughly. All three books have covers. Two books have obi (paper bands). During inspection, there were no noticeable stains, writing, or tears. Please forgive any oversights. They are not perfect. The paper quality of this series has changed partway through. Please understand that there may be slight changes or stains due to storage and aging. The illustrations are cute and heartwarming. The author also wrote Neko Pitcher, Raganyan, and Neko Ramen, and my child is a big fan. I am not considering selling them separately at this time.
