This is a simple piece with a 4cm slit and is unpainted. It does not bend flimsily like a ruler made of thin material. It is sturdy, just like an actual mailbox slot. You can check in advance whether packages can be crushed and pushed in. I don't believe there are any commercially available mail slot measurement tools with this thickness.
