This is a bolt of aizome (indigo-dyed) shibori (tie-dye) yukata fabric. My grandmother purchased this at the time, and it was stored as a bolt in a paulownia chest of drawers without being made into a yukata. As it was stored in a paulownia chest, there are no signs of insect damage as far as I can see upon inspection, and it is in beautiful condition. There may be some areas with small stains. Please understand that this is vintage storage. The fabric is rolled around a core, but the length has not been confirmed. Please be aware of this. The width is about 42 cm. (P.S. 12/10 The length was measured and found to be 14m.) It would be lovely to have it remade into clothes. Please refrain from price negotiations.
