This is a turnip-shaped tokkuri made by Kiyohito Sakakibara of Koyasan Kiln, Bizen ware. The shape, reminiscent of a plump turnip from the slender neck downwards, is impressive. With its well-fired body and features such as yellow sesame seed-like speckles, it is a tokkuri that truly embodies Bizen ware. It is larger than a regular tokkuri and can hold a considerable amount.
