Almost unused, but has been stored for a long time. The material is silk, and there are two areas with what appear to be snags. There is also a hole of about 2mm in one place. It feels very nice to the touch and is an easy-to-tie obi. If you are tall, it could also be used as a long scarf. The snags and small hole are not noticeable overall, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. The color in the images may look different depending on the lighting, but it is black. The first image is closest to the actual color.
