It comes with its old, torn original box, but the cassette recorder itself is in surprisingly good condition. Although it's a retro item, the fast forward, rewind, play, and timer functions all work. Since there's no cassette, I'm not sure if recording is possible or if sound will play back, but I can hear a whirring sound from the speaker when it's running. The battery compartment is clean, but the cushion on the battery cover that holds the batteries in place had deteriorated, so I replaced it. Also, the lid wouldn't stay closed, so I used thick tape to secure it. The tape has fingerprints on it, which look like stains, but the lid itself is clean. Retro enthusiasts, please consider purchasing! I will pack it carefully and ship it quickly. ^_^
