This doll was made at least 40 years ago. I remember purchasing it from an artist who only makes fox wedding dolls. The doll is carefully crafted with embroidered details on the obi cord and parts of the kimono pattern. It uses antique silk, and has a "bira-kanzashi" (hair ornament) on its head and gold and silver fans at its chest. The fans can be opened. The body is made of plaster (?), and is somewhat heavy. It was kept in a case, but there is fading, stains, and wear on the obi due to aging. The degree of fading can be seen where the fans are placed and where the sleeves are rolled up. The atmosphere of having aged over many years evokes nostalgia and pathos, giving it a unique charm. For those who love old things. Height: Approximately 37cm The case is not included.
