While primarily wool, it is made with extreme precision comparable to Qum silk, with approximately 9-10 knots per centimeter. I believe this is the highest level of precision for a wool carpet. The total number of knots in the carpet is calculated to be a considerable 5.41 million knots, a testament to the craftsmanship (calculated using 9.5 knots, taking the average of 9-10 knots). It originally cost around 1.5 to 2 million yen. The design features a gentle and elegant turquoise green and ivory color scheme that blends well with any room. It has a timeless, dignified design that easily complements any interior, such as classic or Scandinavian styles, making it a versatile piece. Because it is a high-quality carpet woven with a high density, it will not lose its appeal over the years; rather, you can look forward to enjoying its deepening, profound atmosphere in the future. Silk is used for the border, and it is woven with a sophisticated technique that beautifully highlights the patterns with its luster. Over time, the silk parts will wear out faster than the wool parts, but the unique aging process allows the patterns to appear three-dimensional as the worn silk parts become recessed (to give you an idea, it will change to a three-dimensional feel like a silk rug). The silk in the central part has worn out to some extent. Regarding the photos and condition: The second photo shows the carpet with a chair to give you a sense of the size. The third and fourth photos are of the back of the carpet. The beautiful patterns seen from the back are a characteristic of high-quality hand-woven carpets. Even looking at each individual knot, they are neatly arranged, indicating the work of a highly skilled weaver. Photos 6 and later show details. There are some moth-eaten areas, although they do not significantly detract from the overall appearance. This is believed to have occurred when the carpet was folded and stored for several years during a renovation of a separate residence. It has since been cleaned by a professional cleaning service, but it has been used for several years after cleaning, so please consider it to be in a used condition.
