This is a set consisting of the sheet music for "Trio per Uno" by Nebojša Jovan Živković, a percussion trio, and six SOUND KING China Drums specially selected by JPC (Japan Percussion Center) for this piece: three CH-006H and three CH-006L. Although the original purchase included hanging cords and mallets, these are missing, so the set includes only the sheet music and China drums. The China drums have a unique sound, different from China cymbals. According to the JPC website: "We have specially selected small gongs with rising pitches for Trio per Uno! Hui Yin Ban Luo (回音班鑼) are gongs whose pitch rises after being struck." I used these about four times with the wind band I was instructing, so the sheet music (especially the cover of the score) shows some wear. However, it's in good enough condition that it doesn't affect performance, so you can start practicing right away after purchase. (Playing the first movement requires setting up three bongos and laying the bass drum horizontally, which is quite a challenge!) Please give it a try at ensemble contests or concerts!
