I was told by the shop staff at the time of purchase that it was an Italian-made brass holy water font. I have only displayed it on the wall at home. I have taken good care of it, so I don't think the condition has changed much since I bought it, but I was told that it was made many years ago, so it originally had the appearance shown in the photos. I have listed it as having some scratches and stains, but please purchase it only if you understand that this is due to the material.
