Soma Odaka Shrine Goshuin (Temple Stamp) Soma Odaka Shrine is located on the site of Odaka Castle, the former castle of the Oshu Soma clan. Odaka Castle was built in 1336 by Mitsutane, the son of Soma Shigetane, and served as the residence of the Oshu Soma clan for approximately 280 years until the beginning of the Edo period. From this castle, they fought against the Date clan. Currently, it is widely known as the festival site for the Nomakake (horse hanging) on the third day of the "Soma Nomaoi," a nationally designated important intangible folk cultural property. The date is a lucky day when Ichiryū Manbaibi (a day of good fortune) and Tensha-nichi (a day of celestial forgiveness) coincide: July 24, Reiwa 7 (2025). It will be sent in a clear file.
