The color is black. According to my Montbell purchase history, it's listed as CHBK, so perhaps Charcoal Black? It's a lighter shade than pure black. As mentioned in the description, I've worn these quite a bit. In my personal opinion, they're not very noticeable from a distance. However, upon closer inspection, there are several holes, especially on the seat (photo 4). The stitching on the hem (photo 5) has come undone. Please examine the enlarged photos. There are also small scratches around the calves. Please purchase only if you are comfortable with these conditions. Thank you.
