Dried persimmons from Yamagata Prefecture. Contains 12 pieces. The variety is Hiratane-nashi (seedless persimmon). Each one is peeled by hand, sterilized with hot water, and naturally dried for about a month under the eaves. The white substance is not mold. It is the sugar from the persimmon that has come to the surface and crystallized, forming a white powder (shiroko). There may be variations in size and firmness.
