An old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. This piece features a tasteful peony (or similar floral) design in dark lacquer with a "yami-maki-e" (dark sprinkled design) technique. The box indicates "Sekishu-gata," suggesting it was made to the taste of Katagiri Sekishu. The bowl has a chic appearance, and the elegant "han-sori" (flared rim) design adds to its refined atmosphere. It is in generally good condition, with only minor storage wear.
