Just passing your signal through this box removes excess high frequencies and condenses the mids, while also boosting the lows. It's a very strange and unique device. The goal was to achieve the classic tone that many users seek, from the 1950s to the early 1960s. Surprisingly, it doesn't use any vintage components, and the company developed the parts from scratch. When you run your signal through it, you can definitely feel the compression and the mids coming forward. There are no IN/OUT jacks, but it seems the nuances differ slightly: if you use the right side as the input, the sound becomes "deliciously cohesive," and if you use the left side as the input, the "overtones change." Placed directly after the guitar, it corrects the tone of the guitar itself. By placing it after the pedalboard/directly before the amp, it corrects the overall tone. It can be used directly into an amp, and there's no set way to use it, so it seems fun to experiment with different setups.
