This is a teacup I purchased at an antique market. I was drawn to the soft, warm atmosphere created by its warped curves, and that's why I brought it home. It's a design that's easy to use at the dining table. Just by arranging some sashimi from the supermarket, it instantly elevates the presentation. Because it's white, it seems like it would work well with anything, like braised pork belly or nikujaga (meat and potato stew). The shop owner said it might be from the late Edo period, but they couldn't say for sure, so please take that as a reference. There is a small chip on the rim.
