I handcrafted a tote bag by patching together the embroidered camellia flower section of a Nagoya obi with the plain sections of another Nagoya obi. A single pink camellia flower floating on the ripples of water stands out beautifully against the navy obi fabric on either side, resulting in a pure and sweet, grown-up bag. A stiff interfacing is used for the outer fabric. Navy cotton fabric is used for the lining. The embroidered section has a silver base color. The pink camellia embroidery, framed by subtle glitter dots, is very lovely and charming.
