Gold Saffettes are rare, and many have stains on the dial or the gold plating is worn off at the corners, making it difficult to find one in good condition. After that, it undergoes thorough washing and drying in an automatic washing machine. The movement is then assembled, using several types of oil, while lubricating the cleaned parts. After assembly, it is placed on a dedicated tester and the accuracy is adjusted over several days. Mechanical watches that run on a mainspring are designed to be overhauled regularly.
