These are sesame bamboo (Goma-take) platform sandals (geta) with large, angled platforms (Ō-geta) (^^) They feature the rare lizard-skin thong (hanao) insert (*´꒳`*) The core of the thong is made of hemp twine, not the synthetic fibers used recently, making them very comfortable to wear. These are for those who appreciate authenticity. Sesame bamboo is versatile, allowing you to wear them comfortably barefoot or with tabi socks, and they can be dressed up.
