These are KEEN trekking shoes, known for their children's water shoes. They are authentic hiking boots that rival those for adults. Size is US1. This corresponds to a Japanese size of 20cm. They are waterproof, so they will protect against sudden rain and water exposure when crossing streams. I bought them new for hiking and only wore them twice. Although I didn't get caught in the rain, the inside of the left shoe rubbed against a rock when descending, and the surface is scraped. See image 11. Even for children, it's better to wear proper hiking boots for hiking to prevent injuries and allow them to walk for longer distances without getting tired.
