This is a wooden coin case. It appears to have originally held a coin collection, but the details are unknown. There is a keyhole, but no key. I opened it with a flathead screwdriver, and it remains open. There are scratches and stains. The metal parts show discoloration due to age. The brass? part on the front seems to still have the protective vinyl on it (Images 12, 13). There is misalignment (Images 17, 19). The hardware is raised (Image 9).
