This is a visiting kimono from "Akira Yuzen," created by Akira Takizawa, a Yuzen dyeing artist from Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture. Mr. Akira Takizawa transitioned from the Western world to the world of Japanese art, resulting in many kimonos with innovative designs and color schemes using the Itome Yuzen technique. His high expressive power is such that he was chosen to represent Japan and create visiting kimonos for the spouses of the heads of state at the Okinawa Summit. His original Yuzen dyeing is called Akira Yuzen, and he has many fans, including stage actors. This work depicts a unified winter landscape pattern across the entire kimono fabric, like a canvas. The artist's signature is placed on the Okumi (lapel). The Hachikake (lining of the lower part of the kimono) is also matching, with a one-point pattern. The crest is a gradation of sewn crests, giving a sense of luxury. We hope you will enjoy it in a wide range of formal settings, paired with a Fukuro Obi (formal obi).(^^) ● Japanese Color: It is a grayish-brown color close to Shirotsurubami (a pale beige color). ● Size: Hiro-eri (wide collar), Awase (lined) tailoring Sewn one crest of Dakimyo (a type of crest) Length 168cm 裄丈 (Yuki) 69cm Sleeve Length 48cm Front Width 23cm Back Width 30cm Yuki seam allowance about 1cm on one side Uchage (hem allowance) about 4cm * Please note that there may be slight errors due to amateur measurements. ● Material: Both the kimono fabric, Doura (lining), and Hachikake are silk. ● Condition: It has been worn, so there is a slight stain on the shoulder (photo 19). Overall, it is clean and in good condition. Please understand that this is a used item before purchasing. ● Other Notes: There may be differences in the colors seen depending on your monitor, so please be careful if you are pursuing subtle colors. We are also exhibiting many other kimonos, obis, Japanese accessories, antiques, and brand artists! Please take a look here #cafe kimono
