As it is platinum-plated, it is expensive for a ligature, but it provides a more solid sound density than gold-plated finishes, resulting in a well-defined tone. I purchased it new from Shimamura Music. The box shows signs of use, but the ligature itself has no noticeable scratches. Please check the photos.
