Starring Rosanna Arquette and Tom Hulce. Gary (Tom Hulce), a journalist, drives around looking for a woman he once met. Several years ago, Martha Travis (Rosanna Arquette), a psychic who toured community homes in the American South and Midwest with her father Walter (Jason Robards), had a vision one night of a murder that would occur in that place and the figure of the culprit. And when that became reality, she was marked by Gary and Cyrus (John Benes), a powerful figure in the town who secretly manipulated the murder. Cyrus, feeling threatened by her existence, pursues her using the hitman Harley (Mark Joy) and Inspector Weinberg (Ron Rosenthal), who is under his control. In another place, Martha predicted a large number of deaths from a factory fire, and that also became a reality. Martha gradually becomes emotionally unstable due to her abilities, but Walter, an alcoholic, cannot accept his daughter, and she cannot open her heart to Gary, who impulsively slept with her. One night at a gathering, Martha has a vision of her father Walter's death and loses consciousness from the shock. At that time, Walter, who was drunk in a hotel, was attacked by a hitman sent by Cyrus, and when Gary rushed to the scene, he had already been killed. And Gary, after that, somehow finds Martha, who had disappeared, and takes a picture, but a few days later, there was no trace of Martha in the developed photo.
