Acoustic Guitar Morris W-30 - A beautiful, vintage Japanese guitar for sale. Serial No. is 607**. There is some peeling on the inside label, and the signature is unknown. The MORRIS stamp on the back of the headstock is original to the time of manufacture, and although it has been through many years, there is little major damage. In Japan in the 1970s, various brand manufacturers competed to produce folk guitars, riding the folk boom. Nowadays, there are only a few manufacturers producing them in Japan, and they seem to be very expensive. This guitar is made of plywood, but I believe it is a valuable instrument made with the best materials and the best craftsmen of the time. The sound is plywood, but it has a unique, brilliant tone and a sound balance of volume. It was a mid-range cost-performance model at the time, but I think it is very wonderful, including its appearance. The top material is excellent, and some areas have grain that is less than 1mm. The frets have about 80% remaining, and there is little overall wear. There are scratches on the headstock, but no corner dents or impact marks, and the pegs are very clean. The neck is straight, and the string height is 2mm at the 5th fret on the 1st string, about 2.2mm on the 6th string, 2.4mm at the 12th fret on the 1st string, and about 3mm on the 6th string. There is no buzzing or dead notes. The nut width of the neck is 43mm, and the string length is about 655mm. The bridge saddle protrusion is 3mm on both the 1st and 6th strings, and the string height can be adjusted lower if necessary. In addition, new strings were replaced in October 2025, and the interior and exterior have been cleaned. The overall appearance has aged naturally. The TOP has turned amber and has many shallow dents, but there is no damage such as cracks. There are also shallow scratches on the back plate and a crack of about 5cm on the painted surface, but otherwise it is generally clean. Please check the photos for other details, and please understand that there may be small scratches that cannot be described. Accessories include the original semi-hard case, which has some rust on the metal fittings and peeling vinyl scratches on the surface of the case, but is otherwise generally clean. We will pack it using mirror mat inside and air cap on the outside to ensure that it can withstand vibration and impact during transportation.
