This shirt seems to have been made after considerable research into vintage button-down shirts, rather than the current models, of the original button-down shirt maker, BROOKS BROTHERS. You rarely see this type of shirt in the current 'MUJI' lineup. I feel that shirts with a beautiful balance, such as the V-zone opening when the top button is undone, are becoming less common in Japanese products. From what I know and have worn, vintage BROOKS B.D. shirts, 'MUJI' shirts from about 10 years ago, and 'Comme des Garçons' shirts seem to be good choices (though it depends on personal preference!). 'MUJI' products are literally good products, with excellent design, fabric, and sewing, and are relatively reasonably priced, so I recommend them. Sorry for the long explanation.
