It was said to be from the Tohoku region, but the details are unknown. The eyebrows and beard are missing, but perhaps it's better this way. It gives the impression of a transcendent god beyond human understanding. I believe it was hung on a wall or something similar. It's old, so it has scratches and stains commensurate with its age.
