Donabe (Earthenware Pot) My mother at my parents' home loved this and bought it, but she never used it because it was so cute, and just displayed it. The bottom of the donabe is bumpy, designed to prevent meat and fish from sticking. It can be used like a tagine pot, or for yakiniku (grilled meat) and steam-baking.
