This is a black glazed, ring-shaped, diamond-shaped plate by the popular artist Kazumi Kinoshita. I purchased this at a solo exhibition, which required a lottery to enter and had a limit on the number of items per person. I traveled a long distance to attend, but I am selling it due to moving. It's suitable for a single plate, side dishes for the family, and other uses. Because it has some depth, it's also good for dishes with a bit of sauce, like simmered dishes. The black color of the plate makes the colors of the food stand out beautifully and elegantly enhances the presentation. Kazumi Kinoshita's black tableware is porcelain, but the glaze used is absorbent, so stains may appear unevenly when you first start using it. However, as you use it, the stains will blend in and become less noticeable. If you are concerned about the stains, please use the plate frequently.
