This is a reproduction of "Rōgo Shiiki" (Instructions for the Deaf and Blind), a calligraphy work by Kōbō Daishi Kūkai, currently designated as a National Treasure and owned by Mount Kōya. This exquisite and detailed reproduction was created by Benrido, a Kyoto-based company. It is a small-sized makimono (hand scroll). This is a masterpiece, typical of Benrido, which has produced many reproductions of art objects. As it is a scroll, you can display any part of it by unrolling it fully. It appears to be discontinued, and is no longer listed on Benrido's website. In the past, it has been sold on Yahoo! Auctions for around 45,000 yen. The inside of the box shows some yellowing, but the main body is generally in good condition and can be considered a beautiful item. The paper covering the title slip is also still present. Offered at a reasonable price. Please take this opportunity if you are looking for one. Notes: The surface of the box has some yellowing and minor scratches, and the inside has yellowing and stains (see images). There are some stains on the title slip of the main body (see images). The scroll itself and the text are clean, and it can be considered a beautiful item overall.
