This is a reproduction of one representative work by each poet from the National Treasure Nishihonganji-bon Thirty-Six Poets Collection, considered a representative cultural heritage of Japanese art. It is believed that my mother, who was diligently studying kana (Japanese syllabary) until about 25 years ago, purchased this. Reproductions of kana manuscripts by poets representing the era, such as Hitomaro and Ki no Tsurayuki. The highly artistic decorative paper and the meticulous brushwork of the kana are very beautiful works. It comes in a double box and was stored in a cardboard box (Photos 17-19). The cardboard box shows some stains (Photo 20), but the light brown chitsu (protective case) inside has no noticeable stains or damage (Photos 1, 17-19). The size of the chitsu is 28cm x 40.5cm. Inside, there are 37 sets, each consisting of a plate placed on a folded mount, with explanatory papers for each poet's name and Japanese translation on top (Photos 2-12). The whole is wrapped in thin paper and bound in a chitsu. The thin paper wrapping the whole shows wrinkles (Photo 17). Also, there are slight wrinkles on the edges of several mounts (Photo 13), but there are no wrinkles or stains on the plates. There is a colophon on the bottom of the box, and the price at the time is also noted (Photo 14). In addition, a publication pamphlet and two types of explanatory booklets about the National Treasure Thirty-Six Poets Collection are included (Photo 15). Thank you very much.
