It's a wristwatch. The battery is the one that was in it when purchased, and I confirmed it was working just before listing it. The lower clasp that secures the band is broken, but it can still be attached to a bag, etc. That's why it's listed as "as is." There are no detached clasps. I didn't wear it on my wrist while using it; I used it attached to my bag at work. There are no instructions or box. I bought it within the last year and used it for about six months. I stopped it to conserve battery life and stored it.
