The High Loft for sale here is the type with black fabric throughout. The color doesn't come out perfectly on a smartphone, but it's solid black. It's a different line from the popular Retro-X and Synchilla, which are more focused on casual wear. The series includes R1, R2, R3, and R4, with higher numbers indicating greater insulation. However, since mountaineers sweat even in winter while climbing, simply having high insulation isn't enough. The key difference between this and cheaper fleece is how well it handles sweat. Currently, only the R1 series is available; the others are no longer manufactured.
