A set of wooden masu (measuring boxes) decorated with the twelve zodiac signs. Everything in the photos is included. These were given out with fukumame (fortune beans) by Myodo-ji Temple in Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture, to those who requested a warding-off-evil ceremony. The size is approximately 17cm x 17cm x 9cm, and the thickness of the boards is about 1cm 2mm. Please judge the condition from the photos. These are quite old, and there are many scratches, stains, and sun damage, but that adds to their character. They can be used as decorations in rooms or shops, or as small item containers, and can be used in both Japanese and Western settings. I have lightly dusted them, but I will send them as they are to avoid damaging the paintings. Please clean and maintain them yourself after purchase.
