I used these indoors and when putting my child in a stroller during the winter. They were not worn outside (on the ground). I was worried my child wouldn't like their first pair of shoes, so I had them practice wearing these indoors to get used to them. The white leather on the sides of the Velcro straps (both shoes) is peeling, but they are still wearable. There are no noticeable stains. I will compress them for shipping.
