In addition, the serial number is 94, which suggests that it is relatively early (this is based on the assumption that serial numbers were assigned in ascending order of manufacture and that there was no reset of serial numbers). The ARGENT hallmark on the back cover suggests that the case is made of silver. The case is difficult to open and close, and requires some force. The hands and crystal are missing, and there is a serious crack in the dial. I do not have a key and have not been able to confirm its operation. When I shake this item lightly, the balance wheel and anchor move a little and stop, but the escape wheel, etc., does not seem to move much.
