This is a SD size kimono (furisode set). When I was into dolls before, I had someone who does Japanese tailoring make it for me so that I could dress the dolls without knowing much about kimonos. It is made from various materials, such as old silk fabrics used in human kimonos. Since it's almost New Year's, it's a furisode set, so you can dress your doll right away. The seams on the sleeves are proof of hand-sewn tailoring, and of course, they also exist on human kimonos. Hiyoku-zitate is a tailoring method that makes it look like two kimonos are layered. Only the cuffs, furi (sleeve edges), collars, and hem areas are sewn with a fabric called hiyoku-ji to create a double layer. When layering a juban and furisode on top of the SD's upper body, it becomes difficult to wrap the obi due to the thickness. ▪️Volks SD size (Applicable)▪️ Silk flower peony plum fan pattern kimono, hiyoku-zitate Han-eri (collar) with red and white chrysanthemum embroidery Long undergarment with red auspicious crane shibori pattern, with ohayori (hem) sewn in Obi (sash) with gold brocade chrysanthemum and butterfly pattern, Velcro closure, sewn-on obiage (sash pad) and obijime (sash cord) Matching fabric ribbon hair ornament Purple cape for winter, snap closure An easy dressing instruction manual will be included so you can dress the doll. I wanted to easily dress the SD in a kimono, but instead of using cut cotton fabric from a craft store, I used silk, obi, han-eri, etc., made from human kimono fabrics. The old fabrics were purchased in various ways, such as scraps, bolts of cloth, kimonos from the market, stores, events, and disassembled kimonos, and the old scraps may have been pieced together. Since I don't buy new fabric from stores, the manufacturing condition varies. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. Made with an industrial sewing machine and hand-sewing. Please consider this as a product made by an amateur individual for a hobby. Not suitable for those who are particular about details! ▪️SD doll is not included. I will be listing it separately. Furisode set only. The chair, stand, doll, and wig accessories are props for photography and are not included▪️ Kimono for New Year's. #SD #Kimono #Furisode #SDSizeKimono #FurisodeObiSet
