This is a SD size kimono (furisode set). When I was into dolls before, I had someone who does Japanese tailoring make it for me so that I could dress the dolls without knowing much about kimonos. It is made from various materials, such as old silk fabrics used in human kimonos. Since it's almost New Year's, it's a furisode set, so you can dress your doll right away. The seams on the sleeves are proof of hand-sewn tailoring, and of course, they also exist on human kimonos. Hiyoku-zitate is a tailoring method that makes it look like two kimonos are layered. Only the cuffs, furi (sleeve edges), collars, and hem areas are sewn with a fabric called hiyoku-ji to create a double layer. The old fabrics were purchased in various ways, such as scraps, bolts of cloth, kimonos from the market, stores, events, and disassembled kimonos, and the old scraps may have been pieced together. Since I don't buy new fabric from stores, the manufacturing condition varies. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. Made with an industrial sewing machine and hand-sewing.
