You can wash it in a laundry net, but there is a possibility of shrinkage or wrinkles after washing, but this does not affect its use. I do not recommend ironing as high heat may melt the fabric or leave marks. Fraying, which is characteristic of quilted fabric, may occur, but you can cut the threads.
