Odani, known as a strategic point in northern Lake Biwa. The Asai clan, including the three generations of Ryomasa, Hisamasa, and Nagamasa, resided there. However, it fell to Oda Nobunaga's forces in 1573, and the Asai clan was destroyed. After the fall of the castle, it was given to Kinoshita Tokichiro Hideyoshi, but it was abandoned in 1576 when Hideyoshi moved to Nagahama. In addition to the regular version of the Goshuin, an illustration version of Asai Nagamasa by illustrator Takeshi Nagano has been issued since 2023.
