This item was used by the first class of radio officer officer candidates of the Kashiwa 4th Aviation Training Unit of the Imperial Japanese Army. The center features a design of a star symbolizing the Army and a propeller representing aviation. An eagle motif is at the top, with the character "柏 (Kashiwa)" below it. The word "無線 (radio)" is engraved on the ribbon at the bottom. It is made of oxidized silver-colored metal overall, giving it an appearance that evokes history.
